Art
In order to make my 3D design, I researched many different images of the yeti. I saw drawings of the yeti, other 3D designs, and even "real pictures" of the yeti. From looking at these pictures I thought about what I think the yeti looks like. This is then how I began my yeti design. I started with the mouth, I then did the eyes, then I made the nose, I then ended it off by sculpting the overall shape of the head. |
English
In order to make the English side of my newspaper, I did lots of research on the yeti and how it impacts Sherpa culture. After analyzing the information on the Yeti and the Sherpa, I wrote two articles explaining them so that the reader fully understands the topic. I then recontextualized the non-fiction information and wrote two fiction stories that would be in a modern Sherpa newspaper. |
History
In order to make the history side of my newspaper, I researched the non-believer side of the myth of the yeti. With this information I made valid points as to why the yeti isn't real. I also analyzed the counter argument so that I could show each side of the myth. In these articles I showed what some of the "sightings of the yeti" could have really been such as altitude sickness or avalanches. |
