For history, we made an audio essay on music from different cultures around the globe. In the beginning of our project development we were watching masterclass videos on guitarists such as Carlos Santana and Tom Morello. We were planning on making a masterclass video of our own. This didn't last long and we ended up deciding to make an audio essay on different culture's music. We started to research Ethnomusicology, culture, and just the types of music around the globe. In the end, we decided to use Japanese music and African music. We took these two different cultures of music and implemented them into an audio essay.
For art, we made a video on how to make a good apollo project. When we first started project two we had no plans of our art project going in this direction. After a meeting or two, talking with our peers, and each other we ended up going in the direction of how to make a good apollo project. To start, we took the Universal Creative Process because it is seven steps that line up well with making an apollo project. Our thinking skill for this project was perspective. In order to use perspective, we conducted interviews with our peers on what they do for each step to make a good apollo project.
For English, we made a visual essay on the guitar playing style of Eddie Van Halen, Tom Morello, and David Gilmour. When we first started project two we were going to make a project on music theory and sheet music. Since Cooper and I don't know much at all about music theory we ran into a lot of questions. This brought us to the topic that we stuck with, "What makes a song good?" We then starting researching to try to find an answer, but we realized that there is no true answer. We then started researching famous guitarists to learn what their perspectives was on how to make a good song? We did a deep dive on their unique playing styles and what they did to become the famous guitarists they became. With this information we turned it into a visual essay on google slides.
